Hall of very good but not hall of fame

He ended the SEC title game before halftime.

MVP of 2 semis and 2 National Title games and the MVP of the SECCG. All as a walkon.

A bunch of LSU posters in another thread think game time rankings matter more than final rankings.

wow - that is amazingly stupid; and just about renders the college football HOF meaningless...

Namath should certainly be in & don't you have to have good grades to even be considered?

It is indeed stupid. Hopefully things get changed (such as being a Heisman finalist).

I doubt that there is any other QB who won five MVP awards. There aren't many who have five opportunities to win MVP awards. Stetson is almost certainly the team MVP also.

you mean THIS?

like I said earlier, HOF is an absolute joke

sure, OJ deserves to be in based on his college playing career; but maybe he should be removed based on that rule

That Manning QB camp, in Thibodaux ( small town USA) La. always gets the best QB's in college football, every year. It's amazing what campers get in the way of coaching, from the best of the best. And both Eli & Peyton get down & dirty like all the other QB's coaches. And, of course, there is Johnny Football's reputation as being the only coach to get kicked out of the camp. NO O.Miss fan but what the Mannings do for kids across the country is incredible.

Yes and no. I get your point, but he led his team to back to back championships. Now, I get that it is a team accomplishment and he was surrounded by great talent, but I can't think of a title winning team that did not have a lot of great talent on it. And there are a bunch of teams that never won back to back with excellent rosters.

Add to that, that he played in an "anitquated" "old Fashioned" offense (according to the Rant) and I think he did extraordinarily well.

I can see both sides to the argument.

All NC teams are surrounded by Blue Chippers, more importantly they all have NFL bound guys.... Thats a horrible excuse to bash stet.
