I think it also makes sense to project him sitting somewhere between 4-8 quarters in 2022.

The sure fire first rounder that defenses have to game plan around is, as you stated, Bowers at TE. Which is actually more of a matchup nightmare to opposing defenses due to personnel groupings. His presence actually makes the WRs' job that much easier.

You have Bowers and Gilbert.
Gilbert is a 1st round talent. The question is how many 1st round receiving talents are in the 2023 draft? A good draft class and Gilbert drops. A weak class and he stays a 1st rounder.

Fair enough opinion

Are you seeing him injured? Benched? Blowing out 8 teams that he is on the bench all of those 4th quarters?

It’s just projections:

4q of 2-4 blowouts + sidelined for 1/2 - 1 game

Not really. Family pedigree, speed to burn. He will be a project for the Bills. No value going in the second so he was obviously drafted a couple rounds early. He stepped up big with 700 yards as a SR and it got him a shot.

Dude quit two years in a row. It’s hard for the NFL to pretend that didn’t happen. Dude needs two mentally stable years to even be in the discussion.

Diddly, you should keep a Stetson Bennett Watch Thread throughout the season with season-end projections updated week to week.

Is this supposed to be your answer to the question about the Michigan game?

Using your logic, he wouldn’t be drafted with this kind of production. He was. Your logic wrong.

He threw for 2,862 in his natty year. He would have to increase his passing yards per game by roughly 100 yards, not bloody likely.

Pretty likely actually considering he rarely played in 3rd qtra.

If he kits his average he had for the playoff wins over Michigan and bama for 15 games, he gets 4,027 yards.

Anyone besides smokeyone just have their mind blown?

Georgia threw for 3,778 last season.
JT Daniels started 2 games and Stetson split duty in 1 more before he was the #1 QB and chewing tobacco on the sidelines while JT Daniels closed out the blowouts.

In 14 games, Stetson threw for 2004 yards (again, 2 of those he was a platoon) in the first half.

Basically, he needs to start every game and not get pulled before the last drive of the 4th quarter too often.

Most national championship teams have starters out by the 4th quarter, that's nothing unique. Mac Jones almost never finished the third quarter.

George Pickens just came off a wasted season on the ACL injury and got drafted in the 2nd round.

No one drafts based on what a player did the previous season. The draft is for what a player can bring the next 3 seasons.

Idk about being called a 4K yard passer, but I can guarantee Stetson will be called the following by announcers:

1) Scrappy
2) High motor
3) Gamer
4) Sneaky athletic
5) Gritty
6) Winner
7) High football IQ
8) Good fundamentals
9) Plays the game the right way
10) Lunch pail guy
11) Heady and/or cerebral
12) Deceptive speed
13) Gym rat
14) Intangibles
15) Gets the most out of his abilities
16) Has a lot of heart
17) Grinder
18) Out-hustles

I literally quoted the part I was answering.

So he stepped up big, has the family pedigree, and runs a 4.42. But without that he doesn’t get drafted by my logic? By everyone’s logic. If he has a pedestrian 300 yards his SR year he’s an undrafted free agent.

Why would that be debatable?

You forgot “finished” as in the end of his playing career.

He might get a training camp invite, but I agree he probably doesn’t get drafted. Doesn’t change the fact he was a good to great college QB. Plenty of players don’t translate well to the nfl.

But that post came after the other one, which was a subject you brought up, so let’s get back on track………………

Let’s do Michigan.

Why do you think Bennett only attempted 1 4th q pass?

A. Uga decided to run the clock out because our passing offense was so damn good as proven by 313 yards on only 30 attempts.

B. UGA was a running team with no QB.
C. UGA doesn’t have the WRs to do it.
D. Kirby doesn’t have the mentality to do.
E. Monken doesn’t have the system to do it.

Your logic is based on production + He didn’t gain 1000 yards = That’s a lack of talent IYO.
