Didn't they already make one... Rudy.
Bennett is a two-time national champion.

True...Rudy actually served in the Navy for 2 years, then worked in a plant for another 2. Just like Bennett....wait a minute...never mind.

Sadly, though it was portrayed differently in the movie, Joe Montana said the carrying him off the field stuff was "just fooling around, having fun" kind of thing.
I wish Joe had kept that to himself. Loved Rudy.
But Stetson's movie will need very little fiction for dramatic effect. The real story has enough roller coaster without the need to manufacture it.

Don't take our word for it. Believe the guy who wrote the screenplay for Rudy:

Rudy was not that interesting of a movie, Bennett would be just as boring.

It is not at all unusual for football players to take more than 4 years to earn a degree
That's not true.
Athletic eligibility requires credit hours that typically graduate early (summer classes during summer workouts).
It sounds like Stetson may have had his major changed twice. And I feel very confident that his academic year at JuCo did nothing for his UGA degree. A lost year.
Aaron Murray had his bachelor's in 3 years and was working on a doctorate in his 5th year. Finishing in 4 or less is more the norm for an athlete spending 12 months on campus.

“Simple Stetson” is a better title considering he still doesn’t have a degree after a fricking decade
This is a joke, right?

Arkansas Tech once had a 28-year-old true freshman defensive lineman/nose guard who had served in the Army for 9 or 10 years

Will they go over the part where he gets held back in middle school?

Everyone loves to poke at Stet because he turned 25 in the season, but no one seems to remember that Chris Weinke was 28 when he won the Heisman in 2000. Plus, Weinke wasn't drafted until the 4th round.

Me had a minor league baseball career between highschool and college. He made it up to triple A ball before going to college and getting a degree in 4 years.

If he came back from a short baseball career you’d probably get less heat
Your guy was a 20 year old freshman.

I love Stetson's story and I don't know why he's capable of triggering some losers into hating him
I think he's a good guy
