State fans: Was there a single identifiable point when you turned on Mullen?

This is a serious question and I apologize in advance for anyone who uses this as a platform to flame, but I honestly am curious to hear what State fans have to say.
So we as Ole Miss fans understand as well as anyone how much of an emotional roller coaster a coaching era can be (i.e. Nutt). From reading the board lately it seems that State fans fall into 3 categories; a) want Mullen gone b)stratting the fence and not sure c) want to give him more time.
For the fans that are over Mullen, I want to know, when did the honeymoon end? When did you sour on him? Was it one game that did it? Was there a pattern of behavior you grew weary of? If it wasn't a single point, what were the repeated offenses?
Looking forward to the Egg Bowl

Somewhere along the lines of 38-7, 38-13, 37-17, 41-24, and 34-20 I'm going to guess.

I have been saying "shut the hell up until you win something" for about 4 years. So........

So you were never really hot on him? I can't imagine that was your attitude after he beat a decent OM team in '09 or after the Gator Bowl victory.

quote:I knew Ole Miss was a fraud in 09 but yeah, beating them was great. I went to the Gator Bowl in 10 but the 4 games we lost were pretty bad losses. I appreciate the interest he has brought to the campus but never cared for his hype - ever.

MSU vs LSU 2011, down 13 pts in Q4 with 3 mins left & Mullen quits by running out the clock. That was the death of "relentless effort".
...Also disagree with his tendency to needlessly burn redshirts.

On any Saturday in Starkville there are about 50000 + fans supporting and happy to have Mullen. There are about 100 that don't. And about 12 post on message boards. Those 12 are very easy to get worked into a frenzy. As you know.

Take that Genespage crap elsewhere.
Pertaining to the thread in general, it wasn't really a particular game but it was mostly last season. I was always slightly reserved with the 8-0 bs.

Honestly, he should've left after 2010. I'm surprised he didn't go back to Florida.

I'll be honest, I was still on Mullen's side all the way up until the second half slide we had last season. I didn't honestly think we'd beat Bama, but I figured we would have at least been somewhat competitive. Same goes for the rest of the games after that, too. It just looked like the team had given up. That seems like something Mullen has struggled with the entire time he's been here - when has our team ever responded to any amount of adversity? It seems like we give up unless we're winning comfortably at the half.
The Jenga that toppled the tower was the OkSt game this season. There was no excuse to only score 3 frickin points on a Big12 D. The rest of this season has been just as shitty.

Precisely zero of the State fans I know shared your attitude. Every one of them loved the way he talked smack to Ole Miss.

Not a state fan but married into a state family with some connections, so I'm forced to watch/go to a lot of games. IMO-this was the turning point to his downfall and it changed the attitude of his program. It was if he had literally given up at that moment and he/his program have been quitters ever since. I don't know if that feeling can be changed or not once you develop it either

I was done after the Texas A&M game last year when the team had zero effort and Mullen seemed ok with it.
