That’s a very favorable schedule, State will be in easily. That defense is no joke, wouldn’t want to draw them in the tournament unless you have a team that rains threes.
If we beat UK Saturday I think we are in barring a major choke against a crap team. We are very good at home
We are 3-5 in quad 1, 2-3 quad 2, undefeated in quads 3-4. I really feel lunardi isn’t giving us credit. He was just saying we need to beat a top of the league team but we only have Aggie left who is top of conference. He acted like beating UK would be necessary but not give us a big bump. I guess our ranked wins against Marquette and TCU don’t count?
It’s like we are being unfairly punished for losing twice to both Tennessee and Alabama. That’s 4 of our conference losses. Auburn another one. The only 2 bad ones were Georgia and Florida who are decent. We have no awful losses whatsoever and great wins over Marquette, TCU, misssouri, and Arkansas. I just feel we deserve a bit more respect. Kentucky gets way more respect and they have 2 good wins. Aggie and UT. And lost to South Carolina

And it’s like our great streak of 5 wins is overlooked. Usually the media drools over a team “getting hot” late in the season and that counts a lot toward committees decision.

We just need to keep winning and the tournament will take care of itself.
After we played Bama/UT really tough in 3 of the 4 games we played those guys, I felt that we were capable of beating just about anybody else on the schedule. Obviously we can still lose to anyone as well.
One game at a time though. UK is next and they will be a tough out.

I’ve got it set to record so I’ll prob watch late tonight and deliver any commentary at the end of the thread. Unless we don’t win then I’ll prob just ignore the urge.

Arkansas couldn't afford to lose this game at home. If they won this game and the rest of the homes games then they would get in at 10-8.
But now with issues with Devo that makes it harder. Arkansas plays aggies on the road next and that is a loss. Then you have florida and Georgia at home. Georgia beat Kentucky and Florida isn't playing good at all. I see Arkansas going 1-1 which puts them at 7-8.
Next at Bama and Tennessee. Two arse spankings coming up and Arkansas is at 7-10.
Kentucky at home which you don't know if Kentucky has quit or is still fighting hard. At 7-11 or 8-10 aren't good enough to make the tournament but most likely will have to win the SEC tournament.
We can now see how the state loss really screws up a run to the tournament because losing games at home puts you way behind the eight ball.

Most of the other "experts" have us in at least the First Four Out. I think Lunardi is putting too much on our conference record which was 4-7 heading into yesterday. Since it's an unbalanced conference schedule I think you definitely have to look at four of our conference losses have come to the #2 and #3 teams in the NET. This all solves it's self if we just keep winning.

Last Week he had North Carolina as a 9 seed
and Kentucky as First 4 out

Don’t think it’s the 5 wins. It’s the 7 losses.
But good wins against TCU and Marquette.
Florida and Georgia both suck. Can’t drop those games. Especially Florida at home.

Yep the Florida loss at home hurts.
But ironically the second half of that game is when we starting playing better. We were down 16 in the first half and almost came back to win it.
Unfortunately every team has some WTF losses during the year. That is our only bad loss so far. Hopefully we can navigate through the landmine’s coming up and stay unscathed.
And Arkansas is far from dead. The loss to us hurts because it was at home but if we keep winning that loss won’t look so bad.
You guys still have a lot to play for.
