Bond was a stud but so was the whole State team when he played.

Mallet is not a lock. My guess is it will be Tyler Wilson by mid-season.
Mallet is one of the most over rated QBs in the country right now. He was only 43% at Michigan and against decent defenses he was something like 25%. Chad Henne was 60% as a freshman 4 years prior against much of the same schedule.

Aub - Kodi Burns?
Uh, no. Kodi is going to have fun riding the pine this season unless a miracle occurs and he learns how to throw the ball.
Neil Caudle all the way!

Mississippi State I look for Tyson Lee to start the first couple of games, and then will give way to Freshman Tyler Russell (who actually enrolled at State for summer school with 5 other freshmen to be). GO STATE!
If you think that Russel is already better than Tyson lee you got a whole nother thing coming.
Tyson Lee is actually a good QB.

How long has Crompton been at Tennessee, it seems like he's been there forever. Didn't he play in the Monday Nighter against LSU in 2005?

Another SEC rant thread goes to the shitter.

I actually thought Crompton was going to be good. I think when Cutcliffe left, that really fricked him up, as it did when Cut left Robert Lane under the tutaledge of a fricking oaf.

I agree with Elisha, Tyson Lee is a very good QB and he's tough as hell and an extremely hard worker.
That could be a feel-good type story like OM was in 08, if he could just lead them to a bowl win.

Crompton is just dumb,IMO....some of the mistakes he made last year had nothing to do with the system he was running....

Maybe so, but their offense looked hideous no matter what QB they had back there.
