Yeah, I think now that we are forcing kids to get tats as the endorsment of the contracts for signing and buying moms houses, the NCAA is going to surely get us

Kinda hard to prove you received cash payments unless you tape it and go on 60 minutes.

The only criterion for you to believe him is that he utter the words "Auburn paid me." He could follow it up with "...and the transaction occurred on the moon" and you would still believe him.

Of course, all the Auburn players who say they were never paid are just lying thugs, right?

I have no dog in this fight. I just want to point out that your rationalization is that Cam didn't get paid because he said he didn't. You don't believe McClover got paid because, even though he says he did, you don't find him credible.

So to recap, in your view of things:

Denying being paid despite evidence suggesting you could have been paid means player was not paid.

Admitting being paid means not being paid because all he did is say he was paid.

I found this post funny. Cam nor Stanley matter in my universe. Carry on, just don't be ridiculous.

It wasn't your quote and you are missing the ENTIRE point of the post. That isn't surprising since this is THE hot button issue for Aubsessed individuals such as yourself. The logic is the issue, not the truth regarding either situation.

I don't believe McClover because multiple teammates said he never once mentioned to them that he was getting paid, and that he was always broke as a joke. Better players that say they were never offered money.

I am "aubsessed," namely because i'm an auburn fan.

“I had my eyes set on going to Miami or Ohio State,” said McClover. “That’s where I naturally wanted to go. That was my dream, to go play college football at. That was my goal and that’s all I wanted to do. When Auburn came into the picture, I never knew who Auburn was. I didn’t have a clue about Auburn’s history, didn’t know nothing about their players…I didn’t know nothing about Auburn.”

“All I knew that Auburn was willing to give me money to come to their school,” he continued. ”I’m not proud about the decisions I made, far as taking money from schools, because at the end of the day, it hurt me more than the school because the school is always going to be there. I took a bad name and a lot of negative things came with taking all that money. I felt like I owe the school, like I sold my soul for taking that money. It was one of those things where I committed to Ohio State University and word got to Auburn, and I don’t know how the news got to Auburn so quick, but when they find out that I committed to Ohio State, they offered me money and I took it.”

You could just put this shite in the OP.

At some point, just admit that the individuals representing AU in the matter were worth well more than they were paid..

The loophole was worked to perfection. It was a thing of beauty.

First of all, not "namely because." Just "because." Second, I was using it like people call tiger fans rantards. I think Aubsessed would be a good short hand for auburn fans. I doubt it will catch on, but I like it.

Don't disagree with any of that, the beauty is though that i can parse it out and say that i don't believe cam was paid and auburn did not violate ncaa rules. I'm not going much beyond that because i don't have to.

we prefer barners.

Aubsessed is more for the fans of other schools who feel the need to keep discussing all things auburn.

it had staying power until ATPB and everyone started calling everyone aubsessed and it just became about as overused as other rant specialties such as cool story bro.

Agreed, which is why they opened the scope of their investigation to include any and all accusations. Which included the HBO boys, Danny Sheridan, Louisiana, etc, etc. CLEARED

Actually, as I understand it, hogsessed is the original funny portmanteau. Second, Aubsessed actually works better because it is a homophone.
