Lot of people here completely missing the emphasis is more on the defenses than the stadium...

Bama won’t even put up 50 on us in T-Town, much less at home. They’ll win, but 50 is a damn stretch.

Jalen Hurts led our offense to 51 points against you in 2016. Tua and this offense could put up 80 if Saban so deemed it.

You don't know anything about us. In 2016 State had Peter Sirmone for our DC, who tanked us to #110 in total defense, and State got rid of him. In 2017, with Grantham as our DC, Bama had to score a TD with 25 seconds left in the game to get to 31 points.

We have a Top 10 defense now. I agree with the other guy. No way Bama scores 50 on State this season, even in Tuscaloosa.

I'm not really trying to talk shite about schedules so far, but to proclaim "We have a top 10 defense" after those 3 games, yeah, you keeping thinking that.

If Sarah Jessica Parker Wilson can drop 31 on the Dawgs in one half in Athens, Tua can certainly drop 50 on them in a game.

We were top 10 last year in total defense and return something like 18 of 22 in the defensive two deep.

Either way, whether we are Top 10 or Top 20, Bama won't score 50. Other than 2016 with Sirmon as our DC, Bama hasn't scored more than 38 points on State since 1988.

You mean the year we went 5-7, and had Peter Sirmon as our DC. I will ban bet you right now that y’all will not put up 50 on us this year.

That might lead to an actual football discussion. Much more fun reading whatever this has turned into.

Considering the defenses they’ll face this year...I’ll wait. But I’ll bet a Benjamin there are gonna be some games they put up half that.

Can we pump the breaks on Bama’s offense just a little bit? They’re fantastic- one of the best offenses in the country, maybe even the best.

I agree on pumping the brakes

They have played 3 games, none against a team I would consider to have a good, or even average, defense.

To assume they’ll put up 50 points against anyone seems a bit premature.

But I think the assumption comes from we are doing so early in the game and the starters have yet to finish a game.

It's comparable competition to what you guys have played.

Was one of the top D's in the country last year, and has improved considerably with a few key additions. Honestly we have as much room as anyone to claim a top defense given what we had returning.

Who knows though. Maybe the stats and film are misleading, maybe every expert in the country is wrong.

God forbid anyone not named Alabama claim to have a really good defense.

You don't understand those rankings. Remove Bama' stats and where do they rank? They rank low because we lit them up.

While stating stadiums he was basically addressing defenses that would hold Bamas offense down. Not really about the noise.

He did we emphasize the real Death Valley is LSU.

State managed to only beat LSU twice in the past 17 seasons.

Now that’s sad.

How many 50-point blowouts have you seen where the winner's starters finish the game?
