That was nice of Tennessee's players to do that.

Has the left deck always been bigger than the right?

Things I have learned from this thread: Ole Miss stadium was and still is a high school stadium (with one endzone that is nice) and we continue to play arkansas in the the shittiest SEC stadium every other year.

You have to remember that Tuscaloosa was not the primary facility until the late 70s and early 80s, and 2-3 games were still played in Birmingham until the 1990s. And there was still at least one in Birmingham until 2003.
Tuscaloosa wasn't the primary facility until 1998. Even then we were still playing games at Legion Field.
Throughout the 70s and 80s, the most we ever played at BDS was 4 games in a season, with 3 being about the mean average all the way up to 1993.
We played only 2 games in Tuscaloosa in 1985 and didn't even play a game there at all in 1987.
In 1993 and 1994 we played 4 games at BDS before going to 5 in 1995. We went back down to just playing 3 games at BDS in 1996 before playing 4 games there again in 1997 and 1998.
We played 5 games in T-Town in 1999, dropped back to 4 in 2000, before starting to play full time in BDS with just 1 or 2 games in Birmingham in 2001. In 2004, all home games began to be played in BDS.

In those pictures of Williams Brice Stadium, it looks like they took the old stands and put them as the upper deck in the endzone.

Primary would mean more than half the games being played in one place. Prior to the 70s, games were still being played in Birmingham, Mobile, and even Montgomery.

There was a stadium expansion in 1987.
