Are there any plans on enclosing that endzone?

Not that I know of. The bulk of money for stadium improvements in the past decade has been to improve the area around the stadium. There have been some renovations to the seating inside the stadium, but I think it was the addition of premium seating for big boosters.

You sound like an NFL Buffalo Wild Wings type fan who needs NEW FLASHY SLEEK LUXURY.

The fact is college football is great precisely because the stadiums are century old cathedrals, not tacky arse cowboys bullshite.

I like the fact that Tennessee's is near the river, thats a pretty cool environment. Also like LSU's ambiance of night games just think there needs to be some updating.

Probably the two best envronments in the SEC but I agree 100 percent. It is time to update them and JHS too(another great SEC stadium). Not trying to attack these stadiums, or asking anybody to build another. Just think it is time to modernize them. As for Bama's light show. I hate it but the recruits like it. So screw old farts like me it is about them.

Edit. Arky and aTm yours looks awesome, no complaints about the way you guys invest your SEC money.

Except Tiger Stadium has been completely renovated 4 times in the last 30 years

Its one of the least historic stadiums there are

Its not even on the list of century old cathedrals

LSU has an unreal stadium. I’ve been twice since they did the updates and was blown away.

BDS is nice as well but LSU’s is nicer from the exterior and LSU’s interior is more intimidating as it goes straight up and doesn’t fan outwards like Alabama’s.

Our stadiums being old/seats to close chatter on here is almost as overblown as the phil backstabbed majors and is a terrible person thing. Sure he made a play for the head coaching gig when the current coach was having heart issues while winning all the games as the head coach during his absence. Literally everyones coordinator would have done the same if they were interim head coach with a better record than the head guy in that rare arse circumstance. It is what it is. Majors was an alcoholic to a fault at the end.

We have the nicest stadium in the country. More money than all sec schools combined. Let that sink in.

Like I said I dont know y'alls renovation history. Just know as these structures age they become safety hazards. If they arent being renovated and updated their lifetime os reduced.

From what Ive seen it does need renovation.

What some fans need to realize is that times are changing. Its takes light shows, little places to eat inside, big screens, and fan comfort to keep the younger generation involved. Its not like it use to be where all you needed was a band and some cheerleaders.

LSU has rows of plastic seats lining the front of top deck of the stadium

I cant imagine something less historically iconic than the trashy sun beat yellow seats of Tiger Stadium

Those seats are supposed to be bleachers.

Only a few places get it anymore. LSU is not one

I’m actually confused as frick about which seats you are referring to as “trashy plastic yellow sun beat seats”?

I just walked right up into that erector set
