Our purple jerseys are actually pretty good, which we wore them more often.

Classic Spurrier. Has anyone done this since?

The SEC has since changed their rules. Home team can choose their jersey color for conference games without getting permission from the visiting team.

It’s amazing how good the white LSU jersey uniform combos look and how absolute garbage their other unis look.

I mean we are talking purple and piss yellow. I agree. All white is the only decent option.

State did in 2007 and in 2009

2007

2009

Spurrier did it again at South Carolina in 2015 as they were technically the home team when the game got moved from Columbia after the flood they had

Vandy also wouldn't let LSU wear white at home in 1996 as a F you to Dinardo. When the rule was first changed, the home team needed permission to wear white. LSU wore gold, not purple in that game

Vandy also wanted to wear their alternate grey uniforms agfainst us in 2019 so we had to wear purple instead of white

I don't think so but I know Gene Stallings did something similar if LSU was doing it in the early-90s.

NCAA made us wear purple at home for awhile. Dinardo petitioned the NCAA in 1995 when he took over and got the rule changed

He did it in 98 too but LSU chose to wear some weird arse yellow jerseys instead lol.

LSU @ UF 1998
Back when the Swamp was electric.

On a side note, Ron Franklin was the GOAT SEC football play by play man.

At least he did something right. It is ok for fans to make fun of but schools really shouldn't mess with each others traditions. It is part of the appeal of the sport.

Bennett held Florida to a low point total in the is 90s and then went around trying to tell people how he stopped the fun n gun. The next year. Florida hung like 56 points on lsus d

He wrote about it in his book. He was right. LSU should’ve hired him. In retrospect, though, LSU would’ve never gotten Saban because Spurrier would’ve had a ton of success in Baton Rouge.

He wouldn't have stayed at LSU that long. Arnsparger was our AD after leaving LSU and it was only a matter of time before he came home.

Yes, the consumate grudge holder. He never won in Tallahassee as a Coach. I have always given him credit for his coaching accumen, but he was and is a Turd. If not for Danny Weurffel, just another good Coach in the SEC.

I realize about the LSU traditions... but IMHO, I think the purple uniforms look better than the white. But that's just me.

I tend to think that LSU's uniforms overall are in the top five in college football history.

Huh? UF beat FSU in Tally the year he won the Heisman.
