I'm sure that they can fix the ligaments in his knee and a fracture will heal.

Well, yeah, they can use cadaver Achilles to fix the tendons and plates and screws on the femur.

I was ticked the way he chose South Carolina over Auburn, but from the moment he started playing I liked the guy. Very sorry to hear the extent of his injuries.

This was the worst I've ever seen.

Protho's was pretty bad.

Last I saw of him, Bama really didn't help him out after his playing days were over...

This really sucks that it this happened to such a great player & even greater person. Its easy to be sad & I, just like most here really feel for Marcus & his family right now. At the same time, I'm happy. I'm happy that I had the opportunity to witness the greatness that is Marcus Lattimore. Thank you for some breath taking memories Marcus.

The fans of the SEC are pulling for you.

Exactly. I'm not exactly sure what he meant when he said there's only so much a surgeon can do.

I think it was in regards to making it so he could play again.

means a shite ton of rehab…. i wouldn't say his career is over, but the NFL will be very leary of him now…

players have come back from broken femurs before, most recently in my memory is E.J. Henderson…. and torn ligaments (all the time, actually)… 4 torn tendons will be a tough row to hoe….

but it can be done….

It will be very tough, and highly unlikely, but he could play again. I really doubt it though.

I hate to see this happen to such a good kid. It's heartbreaking.

the bone isn't the problem at all. it's gonna take a while but it will heel and heel stronger than before.

the 4 muscles, that's a wrap.

“one-in-a-million type of injury.”

-Henry Josey tore his patellar tendon, meniscus, ACL not comparing the situations but he is on the verge of coming back and if he can come back from this Marcus Lattimore has a shot to do the same

I will say this: if there's one person who can do the impossible and come back to play football, it is Marcus Lattimore.

Where did you see that he tore 4 muscles? The link said he tore 4 ligaments.

Ligaments =/= tendons either.

Someone earlier mentioned tendons. Tendons and ligaments aren't the same thing. I haven't seen anything that said he ruptured any muscles or tendons.
