Who's knocking at the door to get into the top 10 next? I would say the next one out of florida, florida state and miami to win a national championship probably moves into #10, bumping out probably nebraska.

My guess is that Penn State might be 11th, ahead of the Florida schools.
They have a longer period of success.

LSU is a blueblood.

Also, LSU should be above georgia hamds down.

Why? LSU fans always act like this is a no doubter in their favor, but the programs are extremely close historically, and UGA has more wins, more SEC titles, more bowl games and a better bowl record, more weeks ranked #1, the same number of claimed national titles, etc. The only thing LSU has is a small lead in the H2H but the two programs have hardly played each other historically.

1- Alabama
2- Ohio St
3- Oklahoma
4- Notre Dame
5- USC

I think 3-5 are interchangeable...but these are the 5 blue bloods...Nebraska and Michigan a small step below...then Penn St and several SEC schools.

Last 20 years...LSU is definitely around 2-3 behind bama and maybe ohio state.

LSU has lost 3 or more games in 9 out of the last 10 years and 15 of the 20 years.

Oklahoma should be #2. Ohio State #3. USC # 4.

Georgia and Texas should switch. Texas has 1 national title in the last 55 years. They should be top 10 but not #7.

Pretty good list. Only change I would make is USC seems too high, I would put OSU there and probably OU ahead of USC as well. OSU has a couple less titles than USC but they have also seemingly finished top 10 every year for half a century

Looks about right. I am surprised we actually made the list. Just because of bias in the past.

This is an all-time list. Football was played before 2000.

Bama and Notre Dame are the schools with the most hardware. Ohio State and USC would be 3 and 4. Michigan and Nebraska would be next. OU and Texas would be somewhere 7-10.

50% of the top 10 are SEC schools. That's great! The South has a long rich history of dominating college football. Hopefully that gets back on track next season!
