My favorite take from auburn so far is that lane kiffin’s past makes him a bad fit for auburn but Hugh Freeze has been open and transparent about his so we should move on.
We all know you’re just going to hire whoever Yellawood wants. Stop getting your media water carriers to spin it any other way.

I hadn't seen any Auburn fans say that. It would appear a lot of Auburn fans have a problem with Freeze though.

AU fricked up by going after the hot name at the time Harsin was fired. Lane was 7-0 and had Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl last year. What they didn't look at was the fact that Lane's record last year was the result of A&M and LSU have a bad year by their standards. The fact that he lost to a Harsin led team is another factor ignored. This year his best win was a two point win against UK. If not for a two point win against A&M, he would be on a 5 game losing streak. Kiffin's only asset now for any program is the belief by Alabama fans that he will be Saban's replacement. We will see. Especially if LSU, A&M and Auburn gets their programs stabilized.

My favorite thing is watching Ole Miss fans make up things no Auburn fan has ever said and then mocking us based on the thing they just made up. I know you guys are giddy from winning 8 games and that is a HUGE deal for Ole Miss but you have to sober up eventually.

Maybe so. But we won't boost his pay to 9.5 million a year for it. LOL!

Ole Miss went from being too poor to compete with Auburn's offer to overpaying him (while also being $2-4 million lower than the reported Auburn offer). Love the gymnastics here.
And to be clear, I'm as unhappy about how this all played out as I could be.

Only good thing is more NIL money to be utilized now. That is why Aub was supposedly an appetizing job.
How come they are on plan C with all the mountains of NIL money they purportedly have? Do we end up seeing a plan D, E F, scenario? At least they are in the capable hands of a newly hired dynamo AD right?

How is it legal for a guy to represent multiple state employees in multiple states and essentially racketeer salary increases for them?

Do not think he will now. But I think that he was the popular replacement for fans. Now everyone will be looking at Sarkisian, and see how he does.

I'm calling b.s. on this. Why would Kiffin approach AU? If he really wanted to leave OM, why not aim for a blue blood?
Because Auburn plays for championships even with the most mediocre coaches. The opportunity to win is there. He was interested but saw a situation in the AD and BOT he didn’t like.

Hope there wasn’t an offer $2-$4 million higher than Ole Miss. He just isn’t worth that. His stock really tanked this last month too.
