Oh yeah there is any reason at all the think 2003 USC was better than 2003 LSU.

Not lIke the SEC hasn't proven its extreme dominance or anything. Maybe that should be taken into completely arbitrary hindsight.

They disrespected AU, but to me putting a team LSU beat ahead of them is the greater disrespect.

Based on their performance in the years after that 2003 team I would think that USC had more talent on its roster than the LSU team did.

By this logic, LSU's 2010 team was better than Auburn's 2010 team.

See how that works?

2004 Auburn was better than some of those teams.

Really surprised they put '03 USC and not '04 Auburn on the list. I understand that '10 Auburn would be arguable but that list is full of very good teams.

If LSU puts down Bama in a couple weeks, I would certainly say they are a top 3 team, only Jefferson/Lee at quarterback keeps them from being argued as the best.

I don't keep up with Sporting News (i only read Phil Steele) so I'm not really in the know about this type of stuff, but what is bad about their opinion?

Noone won the BCS in 04 so Sporting News needs to do more research and try again.

BTW, having 03 USC even mentioned in this list is a joke. This is suppose to be a list of BCS champions I thought.

They don't say it's the champions of the BCS, just the best teams of the BCS era.

oh, then without a doubt, LSU 2011 should already be on the list at #1. win or lose on jan 9th, won't change that.

i'd probably put this 2011 alabama team at #5 fwiw

Not only did they leave off 2 undefeated Auburn teams, but they put 2006 UF in there

i know wtf

2010 Auburn should be on there without a doubt. As a team, not as strong as most on the list.. but in a one game winner take all.. I'm not sure Cam and Fairley could be beat

That was the first thing that struck me when I saw the list. Our shitty 2006 team beat one of the best teams in the last decade?

Yet, neither of our undefeated teams made the cut.

It's whatever.
