So is Auburn's. Just pointing out how dumb the OP is.

What year ? Last year based on on the field performance they would have had two loses and finished 2nd in the SECW.
2017 if they play us in Athens and win they win the West at 7-1

Both contributors, NEITHER in the NFL.

- Tre Mason is in the CFL (2013)
- Jovon Robinson is not in the NFL (2015)
- Kam Pettway is a high school coach (2016, 2017)
So no, they aren't

Dude. Your defense gave up 30 points against Tennessee. I don't think Stidham was your biggest problem.
Go actually watch the game...He is pretty much the reason we lost

He was pretty awful. That and the fade routes.

He was. All things negative that Stidham has were on a show that day...

I guess Atlanta is not in Georgia. You all complained about your LBs when you played AU that year. What was their status at the beginning of November ? But again, we have the on the field performances to prove point.

Stidham was a little punch drunk by that point in the season.

I mean, there's a difference.

I'm not complaining about it injuries are part of football.
But from a purely skill and experience level we were in even worse shape against State the 2nd week of November than we were against Auburn in the front 7. If we'd played Georgia then they would have bluedgeoned our front 7. And probably played 4 qtrs of Jalen.

Again, the actual on the field performance proves otherwise. Plus, how would LSU and A&M have done against them ? Then throw in the factor of playing Clemson and the normal gauntlet of LSU, A&M, Auburn and Alabama the last 6 weeks of the season. Still want to stand by your statement ?

Except it doesn't. The defense we put on the field in Starkville wasn't close the the one we put on the field in New Orleans vs Clemson or Atlanta vs UGA. Different players all over the front and healthy guys.

Who knows? I know they clocked State that year. They won in South Bend. They beat Oklahoma. They hammered Auburn the 2nd round.
As you've stated before, the teams you just named were pretty overrated in 2017. A&M and LSU were very average in 2017. They hammered State.

So yea, feel pretty good about it. They were a really good team. On par or better than everyone in the West.

Maybe. Maybe not. He threw for 300 yards...but he also threw 2 INT.'s. But your defense gave up a ton of yards passing, too.
Don't get me wrong....you are the fan of the team, and have a better grasp of it than I would. But, your defense did you know favors. I would be hard pressed to hang the loss on Stidham alone, though.

Guarantano was on fire that day, Stidham was garbage, rest of the team wasn’t good enough to make up for it. It happens, SEC teams lose to ULM and Troy, stood to reason eventually someone would go down to Tennessee as well.
