You’re counting the Cotton, and Arky went to the Cotton in 2011.
Maybe the Cotton meant a lot more in 1951.

We've been to the peach since then

What’s wrong with counting the Cotton? It’s in the rotation of National Title sites. It is a major bowl.

Nothing. But OP didn’t use the Cotton consistently.
Edit: He explained.

Cotton was considered a major bowl until 1994 when it lost the SWC Champion. It became major again when it became part of the NY6 in 2014. So, Cotton was major from 1937-1994, 2014-present

Ahhh...I see that now. Yea, Arkansas won the 2012 Cotton Bowl following the 2011 season against Kansas State.

Peach wasn’t considered major until it became part of the NY6/CFP in 2014

Must depend on what part of the country you’re from. IMO the Cotton Bowl has always been a major bowl. Your philosophy would equate to my thinking of the Peach Bowl.

The Peach and Cotton bowls don't count for Tennessee? Weird. And why does the 1999 Fiesta Count but not the 2000 Fiesta?

No. Tenner played Nebraska in 1999 Fiesta

Nope, Tennessee played Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl the next year(1999)

Right we played in 1999 and 2000 but OP didn't get much right about Tennessee anyway.

I explained on both. The Dallas Morning News had great story a few years ago talking about once the SWC folded and the Big 12 was created that the Cotton dropped out of the four majors(Sugar, Rose, Orange) and was replaced by the Fiesta in the Bowl Alliance and BCS. Therefore, the 1994 season ended the Cotton’s major bowl status until 2014 when it was included in the NY6/CFP. Peach was never considered a major bowl until it was included in the CFP/NY6 in 2014. So, if you played in the Cotton from 1995-2013 it wasn’t considered a major bowl game, or the Peach from its creation(late 60’s-early 70’s) until 2013.

Tennessee played in the Cotton Bowl in 2000 when it was not a major bowl. I got everything about Tennessee correct. The 1999 season Fiesta Bowl vs Nebraska was the last major bowl game the Vols have participated in.
