Using SP+ projections and solely picking the higher ranked team to win every game I came up with the SP+ SEC projected results/standings. Far from perfect (both SP+ and just choosing higher ranked to win without Home/Away or anything), but interesting at least.

Serious question.

If LSU loses to UCLA and goes 7-5, is Orgeron on the hot seat?

Neither of those will happen, but it doesn't fit the frick LSU narrative.

Probably. The buyout would be around 17 M.

Looks like the AD complex at Ole Miss better go ahead and purchase some extra goal post for this season.

11-1 seems right. I can also see 10-2. The Ole Miss game is going to be interesting.

Exactly what I've been predicting for Auburn all off-season. A very mediocre 6-6 season and some grumblings about Hairsin not being the man for the job from the barn fanbase.

South Carolina isn't losing to Troy.

I mean, probably not? We really going to act like that's a ludicrous thing for the numbers to spit out, though? Troy returns most of their offense and their entire defense, I think.

This game has evolved so much over the past decade.

It should still be expected that a new coach be given latitude to come in and build his program.

However, with the amount of money being thrown around, it's almost a necessity to win in the first couple of years.

I think the transfer portal is really the only way to do that for a lot of these guys, unless they fall into the right situation with existing players that fit their system, or if they're just magicians at making it work with what they've got.

If we only win 6 with our schedule, it’d be a disappointment.

Hairsin will do none of those things. He can't recruit with the big boys and isn't a great coach. The team is already low on talent. I see one maybe two all-SEC caliber players. Nix is a fricking pimple faced bum.

There won't be this year. It is what it is. I think we all realize he's got a bit of a rebuild. I think he's got a very good staff and believe recruiting will start to heat up once we can start getting kids back on-campus and to games.

Maybe not from you or any other level-headed Auburn fan. But once he starts losing games, especially those games that matter, there will be grumblings. Personally I think the guy is in over his head and will fail spectacularly at Auburn before being removed in under 4 years.

Line is currently LSU -4.5. Probably a pretty decent return on a moneyline bet.

So was Terry Bowden, so was Gene Chizik, so was Gus. They all had success before falling off at the end.

I think he will make it through 4 years unless the wheels just totally fall off.
We all realize he wasn't handed the keys to an offense he recruited 2 years before like Gus full of his types of players. He's already had some success with the transfer portal and I expect him to use that until they can start filling the gaps in recruiting.
