Little Feat definitely has some southern rock roots but I’m not so sure I’d label them as such since they have so much variety in sound.

I know a lot of people consider them Southern Rock but Creedence was basically formed in Berkley.... All of their members were born in the San Francisco/Oakland area.
The members are all California liberals. Not full fledge hippies but pretty close.

I thought out nominating the Dixie Dregs but they’re more prog rock than southern rock. A bit too much to justify it.
