Not saying The Swamp is way above every other stadium in loudness, just making a point that you saying Tiger Stadium as a definite #1 is debatable.

it never fails how much of a one trick pony you are. although, i for some reason thought you might post something unbiased this time.
are you watching me?
/punches own face
that's for thinking you might not post another thing that shows Auburn besting Alabama in some way by some homer.

That is such a crock. I went to UF this past year when they kicked our arse and I was at our home field in '07 when we won. Our stadium was DEFINATELY louder.... By a good margin too

Imagine how much loud the swamp would be if we could easily sneak in liquor?

I have been to LSU and Florida to see the Vols lose.
I can tell you that it is louder in Gainesville. Definitely the loudest stadium I have ever been in.
Also, Neyland is ranked too high here. Although, I submit that our stadium will be one of the two or three best when the rennonvations are done. Currently in phase 3 of a seven phase $250 million overhaul.

This keeps coming up, and I keep shooting it down the same way: no other school has an Earthquake Game except LSU. Until someone else has a game that's a Google legend for loudness, please pack up your bags and head back to momma.
Period, end of discussion.

A single game, from 1988 no less, doesn't mean LSU is consistently the loudest stadium in the SEC.

Very good. Thank you for the response. Now, on to the aesthetics. Is there anyone that can make a logical argument that states that Arkansas is the 8th best in the conference and Bama the 4th best, behind Auburn? I don't even think CC Tiger1 can logically explain that one.

An unchallenged internet legend is indeed a good indicator. Not saying BHG isn't loud, just defending TS's well deserved legend for loudness.

I don't want to downgrade the legend because its an awesome story. Truth is that any of the large stadiums in the SEC could trigger a small earthquake.
If we had a richter scale sitting by in 2002 when Peprah ran the INT back against UGA I guarantee it would registered. Same probably for Javy's punt return against LSU in 07 or Croyle to Prothro against UF in 05.

I've been to both Gainesville and Baton Rouge for games. Florida Field was louder, but I visited Tiger Stadium in 1999, 2002, and 2006. So, Alabama was either winning or the game didn't mean much. On the other hand, Florida Field was rocking pretty good in 1999, during the overtime game. I guess it just depends on the game and situation in every case.

Tiger Stadium invented the concept of loud and rowdy - waaaaay before UF ever got serious about football, stopped cheating and hired Spurrier.
But give them credit - over the past 20 years, they are consistently louder than TS.
But when you compare big game, close game noise I've never heard louder than TS - but UF is very very close (and it depends on how low you sit in either stadium).

JPW to Caddell vs. Arky in '07 with like 00:08 left in the game was pretty frikkin loud. I have the game on DVD. There was a penalty against Arky on the play, and it was one of those instances where the mic'd up ref couldn't even be heard on tv. It was almost as if he wasn't wearing a mic at all.

exactly. I'll be at TS in the fall, hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

I guess the guy is going to leave out the fact that LSU has the best fricking band in the country in the stadium every week.
I guess the guy wasn't at the LSU-UF game in 2007 when they announced USC lost to Stanford. If he had there would be no doubt that LSU is the loudest. I will say LSU is more ordinary during a day game; however, Tiger Stadium is the place to be on a Saturday night in the fall.
LSU:
Best Homefield advantage(Noise)
Best Band
Best Tailgating
Most Bad arse Mascot with his house right outside

Unfortunately, I cannot disagree with a single thing here. Although, the noise is probably tied at best with BHG. It's so close that it really isn't a battle worth getting into.

Tiger Stadium should also be number one because it makes over 90,000(including old people) dance to the song Neck. This now occurs at all sporting events.
