I like South Carolina to outright. It should be a good game, but South Carolina has play makers on defense. Check out my podcast called "Fade Bait" on spotify or apple podcasts. If you want to win some money this weekend listen to my picks and take the opposite lol

Tennessee had a Top 25 defense last year and should have a Top 15 unit this season. South Carolina didn't crack the top 65.

Looking forward to this game. Surprised TN is favored by a FG on the road

What’s so surprising about it?
Tennessee should be better than us

It basically amounts to Tennessee being a touchdown favorite on the road. Sounds about right to me. If I was into degenerate sports gambling I'd bet the house of Tennessee. Hell I'd probably take Tennessee at -10.

The answer of course, is Joe Brady.

Why would South Carolina melt? They are all use to seeing defeat when playing the Big Orange.

I'm guessing SC just off that record

TN's offense has been stagnant in a lot of senses the past couple seasons, if not longer. No threat at QB. They have not performed well in season openers since Pruitt arrived. They have not been competitive with the top of the league, or division for that matter.

While SC can easily be painted in similar skepticism- they are the home team, they have proven to play up against better competition. Muschamp has at least one big win meaning he isn't a total goob of a coach.

So you ask yourself- why can't SC cover 3 at home? What points to them not being able to do this? I don't see it.

And you lost to Georgia State.

Really good indication of performance there, Voltard.

This is literally all true for Muschamp as well

Not to mention we lost our 3 top rushers, our top receiver, the QB we are playing has torn his ACL 3 times and never played a down in the SEC, we lost 3 of our best defensive players including two on the DL. And our 5 start RB is already out for the season

This could be a close game, but it’s by no means shocking they are favored, especially in a season where the entire stadium isn’t even full.
Vegas has as at what o/u 4.5 wins? That’s a reason too

Anything can happen, it’s just not shocking they're 3.5 point favorites

Muschamp has been much more competitive with the better teams of the league and division than TN has.

Anyways, I said surprised. Not shocked.

Yeah, teams do not improve over the course of the season, right?

I mean christ, ya'll lost to App state in the 10th game last year

We had 2 more SEC wins than you did

So, basically, we both lose to the good teams we play. Go on...

And you got ran off the field by the team that lost to Georgia St before finishing the season with 4 wins. I'd say that's a pretty good indication.

South Carolina hasn't had a good defense since Muschamp took over. Both our offense and defense will take a step forward this season. Meanwhile South Carolina looks like it's regressing on both sides of the ball.

I don’t know much about TN, but Muschamp’s first ranked win at SC was last year

He’s 15-17 in the SEC at USC
And hasn’t beaten clemson

I would've traded that Georgia win for wins over Missouri and App State instead... ffs.

I’d trade the UGA win for UNC, Mizzou and App State
Make us bowl eligible haha
