South Carolina should be in the CFP over SMU, not Bama

Bama was not deserving this year

South Carolina down the stretch was definitely a difficult team to play. Beamer had them rolling

I dont think youd find many Bama fans that wouldnt have rather had South Carolina than one of these pretenders

They lost head to head.
Just no.
USC is better than several playoff teams no doubt about it but they lost to Bama on the field and have the same record. Bama has better wins overall as well.

That's fine, anything is better than this

Do you remember the game?

I remember Bama forcing 4 SC turnovers.

SC had to hand the game to Bama 3 times in the last couple minutes, and they still nearly won.
Bama got the W, but that was far from definitive in any meaningful way

Yeah, vaguely. Alabama beat South Carolina.
Am I remembering correctly?

Yeah, vaguely.
Or are you just trying to "win the argument" so nuance be damned?

Since when does "Yeah, vaguely" mean no?
Is English your first language?
I remember that Alabama beat South Carolina.
Am I remembering correctly or not?
I didn't know you made an argument.

Are Carolina, Bama, and OMiss in the top 12 teams in the US? I say yes. Did any of them deserve to be in the cfp in 2024? Probably not.
I would have put OMiss in as they pounded Carolina and UGA. It should be who you beat that qualifies you in the SEC.

SC needed last minute drives to beat Mizzou and Clemson at home. They were good but this thought that they were clearly a top 12 team is a myth

Wins?
No.
A better win, vs UGa, sure. But collectively, no. Bama also had significantly worse losses, to teams SC absolutely dismantled. The Vandy and Oklahoma games were not close.
We're not going to relitigate this, but there's no doubt SC would be playing PSU much, much better than these frauds. Hell, I'd take SC straight up.

I remember that Alabama beat South Carolina.
Black and white.

You can't bypass head to head with same record. Sorry, it will never happen. Bama would be in over SC.

They had a chance to tie with a 2 point conversion and failed. They also failed to win the game.
Weird argument.
