yup, they should've been in over us.
we really threw a wrench into the whole thing...I don't think we should be in the playoffs and ain't really looking forward to watching Sark's O go in dry on our mickey mouse Pork Chop DC.
even worse, we've "justified" Dabo's complete mismanagement of his staff over the last 3 years.
I was relieved SC beat us....already looking forwad to the off-season.
and here we are. this is the worst possible outcome for the long term IMO.

I mean, if you want to argue that Clemson deserved to be in the playoffs, then South Carolina should have been in there and SMU should have been out. South Carolina also beat Texas A&M who was a whisker away from playing in the SECCG.

And what is Clemson's second best win after SMU? Not a single ranked team. You can laugh about SC beating Texas A&M and Missouri, but Missouri is still ranked at the end of the season. SMU will get blown out in their first playoff game, and it won't be because Penn State is any good.

The entire second half was an officiating disaster.
Phantom OPIs, missed late hits outta bounds, pick-6 called back for blocking the QB, missed hits to the head, a 2 pt conversion called back for unknown reasons, etc.
It's worth watching on YT. Draw your own conclusions.
Josh Pate, Dave Portnoy, and many other neutral observers called it out when it was happening.

Georgia was first game of season when our freshman star WRs were not getting on the field yet. Don't think Clemson got any credit for "scheduling tough". Think that was a tougher game than any game SEC teams schedule out of conference.
South Carolina does not have a win over a team who got an at large bid to the playoffs.
don't see anything daunting about Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Mizzou, Texas AM and Oklahoma.

The only reason South Carolina was "in" the discussion was because Bama and Ole Miss (who both beat South Carolina) picked up a 3rd loss.
