Seriously though.. Are we looking at the token lack of intitutional control wrist slap or should we start the mock draft for our new SECr adoptive teams?

IMO, I dont think the Ward thing will be anything at all to Auburn itself. The only thing that would kinda worry me is FBI snooping around because there is no telling what they could find. Not just at Auburn either. At any school.

The NCAA said they would wait until the FBI is finished and use what they found on their part.

Lack of institutional control pretty much doesn't apply here. Generally speaking, most schools slapped with that are schools that don't suspend their player and report him to the NCAA and Feds immediately as they find out. Trying to be non-partial here, I would like to see where Auburn could have been more in control.

So long the NCAA doesn't find that anyone else at Auburn, player, coach, or administrator, are also tied into this, the punishment shouldn't be severe in nature.

I don't know what Varez will get. I know what he did was illegal as well as being against NCAA policy. He's most certainly forever ineligible to play college basketball, but it should be interesting to see what sort of federal charges he will face.

Hmm.. Well then theoretically would you still draft me in the top 7 rounds as a gump or would you wait till free agency rolled around to see whats left?

Nothing is expected. This is a player involved in this no AU coaching staff is involved. People will go to jail over this, people are stupid and never learn I guess.

I don't get why Ward felt he had to include anyone else in the point shaving scheme. God knows he threw games hard enough to be 2-3 players.

Maybe he was worried if he got injured, someone would have to step up?

While this charge is reprehensible on every level, it figures this thread would be started by a Bama D-Bag.
