You’re probably correct.
All DUIs (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc) are based upon totals within a 10 year period in GA (and most states). The minimum sentence to serve for a DUI 3 in GA is 120 days and the maximum is 12 months. It’s still a misdemeanor at DUI 3. DUI 4 becomes a felony with a max sentence of 5 years and minimum of 1. My guess is it was a DUI 3 and they made him serve 180 days instead of the minimum 120 days because he had multiple other DUIs outside the 10 year period and weren’t going to take it easy on him.
Georgia actually has some of the harshest DUI laws in the country, which is a good thing IMO

A reliable source has informed me that THE Uncle Lou has reported for his jail sentence. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail for his most recent (September) DUI arrest.
His lawyer was able to get his sentence delayed until after the College Football season, since his full time job is YouTube and College Football. But he reported yesterday and will be unavailable for about 6 months.
I hope he finds peace and is able to reflect while he’s in there.
Given that his mental health is seriously in question, he's going to have to consider if he wants to medicate. Most don't.

This was his 5th. But I think a lot of those occurred in his 20’s.
Let’s say he got his first thrown out. I believe you then have to stay clear of an additional DUI charge for 5 years otherwise I think it’s a more severe penalty and the original charge is officially on your record. Depends on the law of his state.
I like what Austin did to my buddy. He had to pay 5k and was sentenced to community service. The community service was cleaning the bathrooms of the the jail

I’m assuming you’re from TN with your user name. It definitely does not work that way here. If your buddy got one and explained it to you like that, he misunderstood what his attorney told him
Most counties will only let you plead a DUI down to reckless if you have a BAC below .12. Some, like Williamson County, won’t let you plead it down under any circumstance. If you plead it down, they’re going to give you all the same penalties as a DUI (48 hour minimum to serve, suspended license, high risk insurance, interlock, $1500 fine, etc) but you can’t expunge your reckless driving conviction; however, it won’t count towards your DUI count number either even if you get another within 10 years. If your BAC is .20 or higher, minimum sentence is 7 days on a DUI 1.

I like to think this one was on a riding mower as a tribute to George Jones.

Wow Well he is dumber than I thought. 5 DUIs! That is just unexceptable.

180 days means this is a third offense minimum. Jesus Christ dude.

People with that type of record should never be allowed to have a driver’s license again. Period

What an absolute clown he is. He’s have no idea why anyone would pay him anything.

He’s an habitual offender! He should get more than 6 months. Maybe 6 years would make him learn his lesson.

Who is Uncle Lou and why should I care?

He’s also a sexual predator and should be locked up for life.

Grew up there, not there now, but my friend was in Austin, Texas.

Remember guys, buzzed driving is still drunk driving so if you’re going to do it you might as well get your money’s worth.

He will do "runaround" and grab 2-for-1 "good time". He will be out in 91 days, I'd say.

My relationship with Lou is love-hate. I totally enjoy listening to him right up until I don’t. I enjoy his drunken rants.
