one would watch on tv?

This irrational obsession with fans in stands being more important than the games and players themselves is so damn odd.

Players sitting out is the absolute last thing Universities, commissioners, ADs, etc. are worried about.

Fall Tv $ and fall football is their main worry.

What do you do when a player tests positive?

Nothing because the chances of an athlete dying from Covid are incredibly miniscule.

Maybe the fatass coaches should take better care of themselves.

Dying is a possibity - but the greater threat is that 1 player infects others on the team & eventually the whole team is COVID19+.
So then what, they stop playing? If so, what happens to rankings/standings?

Now you see why pushing things back impacts basically every other college & pro sports!

There has been talk about pushing the '21 season back a bit too and then starting '22 as scheduled.

So, all you're doing is pushing the same problem 1 year into the future.

Not safe enough for any fans to be in attendance.

Safe enough for unpaid student athletes to be put at risk.

Dullard doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Agreed. As I said already, I'm not a fan of the spring football idea. There are a number of things already mentioned in this thread that I don't care for about it.

Nah. Just sharing different things that I've heard on the radio here and there. IMO not only will it conflict with other sports, but all of the best players will skip the season in order to participate in the draft leaving an inferior product. Then, how would that impact recruiting? You would then run into the same issue at the end of 2021 with recruiting. I guess they would have to move the early signing period. I'm not sure they would be able to have signing day in the middle of the regular season.

There will be sporting events with fans in attendance in July. The media and big government proponents have begun to lose control of the panic narrative and the unfounded fear they have promoted will have sufficiently evaporated by the 4th of July.

Aggies will be on campus and going to games.

Chancellor already gave the order to make this happen.

When the SEC led the way by positioning to play every other conference sobered up and realized that the ground they would lose if they didn't also play would be cosmic! It'd be every single conference taking a death penalty while the SEC would have generated NFL numbers for every game all season.

Testing 100 players is very different than testing 100k. Surely a Blandard like you can understand that difference.
