I love knowing I was able to watch 3 of LSUs championshipS alive. I was not even thought about in 1980. Plus the arse beating you took two years in a row by LSU. Then to come so close against Bama in the Natty only to lose. At least the time we lost, we did not cross the 50. Then to have a team known as the Best Ever. Why would I want to be a UGA fan again? There are some people that are 40 years old and never seen a UGA Natty.

Never said it is a wasted year if you do not win it all. On a scale to measure the success of a program (which is what I was referencing in my post) it sure as hell does matter to win it all. SEC titles are cool and all but you know how many other teams get conference titles in a year? Now tell me how many get a National Championship.

B) UGA holds winning records over 3 of the big 6 teams, every only other team besides Bama only has 2 or less

It’s especially incredible when considering Georgia’s incredibly consistent bad luck in this sport. Their program is cursed into a perpetual good but not great purgatory.
