You had 1 long pass play nb that went for 85 yards at the end of the game and another for 50 (?) And 2 TDs. Without those 2 plays you scored 27 points. One of those came off of a punt return....
Your offense was not that great. LSU beat you MUCH worse than the final score indicated.

How many defenses has Alabama played with Tua at quarterback who have kept their offense in check like that for such a long period of the game? Clemson last year... maybe Georgia? anyone else?

This statement is premature. Every recent NC winner I can remember has had a better D than this LSU squad. Even the best offense can have an off day or an off half, but having the ability to get a needed stop never goes away.
This LSU team is full of gamers and they have a great QB.
Maybe they'll be the first to buck the trend, but to say that era of Defense is over is just wrong.
