Since 1978 uga has beaten the yellow jackets 30 times out of 40 tries. Maybe more older heads may consider it a rivalry but not younger ones in thier 20s and 30s. I still hate those yellow bees though. But not like the Florida geckos or auburn war sparrows. They are more competitive.

Yep, we beat them so much. It's not often they win at all.

it is surprising G Tech isn't better at football with it being in ATL. It really should be the best in the state.

I'm in my late 20s and I barely consider this a rivalry. Was even cheering for Tech the year they played Clemson in the ACC championship game. Would never cheer for Florida or Auburn under any circumstance. Still consider it a rivalry because of the history, but I hate other teams that are not considered our rivals much more, like Tennessee.

Lol I agree and I think it's three things I think it's thier offense, 2nd another uga is just more popular and 3rd Kirby Kirby Kirby!

then you're a fricking moron which we all knew already.

Here's the thing, user thomasbrown_2007 doesn't get to decide who UGA's rival is and who isn't. Sure you may have your own personal preferences on likes/tolerates/dislikes and so on, but UGA's biggest rival is above me or you and has been such since the 1800s and no matter what we think it just "IS" man and isn't changing. And despite what your millennial (or is there a generation behind millennials that you likely fall into?) arse thinks, it's tech.

This is true. I'm an older fan and the team I hated most was Clemson and still do. GA Tech, Florida, Auburn or anyone else is nowhere the douchebags they are.

the offense is probably a function of the higher academic requirements for athletes compared to other schools.

I don't see what the big deal is with Kirby, so far.

The 90s weren't that long ago.

Tech won 3 in a row and the UGA coach got canned.
Nothing else mattered.

Unfortunately for Tech, they have embraced being a Navy/Army clone. It inhibits their recruiting and fan excitement (the apathy of the tech fanbase is the worst part of the Tech football franchise).

Poor Winnie peg, she's on her period again. I'll have you know a lot of uga fans hate tech but not like Florida. It will be okay cupcake, d drink your wine and wine down off the keyboard for a while.

That is just a line which gets played to make Tech feel better.

Stanford, Duke, and Notre Dame don't have to go triple option. That excuse is lame.

Besides, athletic requirements for entry are different than the normal student body. Even Tech accepted Reggie Ball.

Well that is true, I remember that vividly smh. I think I may have forgotten how it felt to lose to tech consistantly. Yes, not many athletes will get show thier skills in that kind of offense.

I never said that Tech has to go triple option. It isn't a bad strategy though given their circumstance.

But G Tech has had more success than Duke and those other schools using the triple option so you point works against you.

You are the worst poster on this forum because, well, you are stupid. If you are indeed a UGA grad, you went there at a time when it wasn't even a good school yet. You're a complete idiot. Determining who our biggest rival is is totally a matter of opinion. It varies greatly on the person's age and their geographic location. Please find the nearest tall building and jump off.
