The truth from what I saw yesterday.

A lot of teams are damn good. Yes they have weakness in areas. But defensively they are all extremely good.

Gun to my head if you made me bet on any of the following: A&M, Texas, Bama, LSU, OU, Tennessee Ole Miss.

If I had to pick the winner of a head to head game, legitimately I don’t think I would put my own money on the outcome of that game. In either direction for any team.

The only team I would actually bet money on to win is Georgia. That’s it. The rest are a toss up.

Should be fun to watch.

It was hard to tell anything from the level of opponent that most of the teams played.

Offensively yes. Defensive stats were sick.

Agreed, aside from Ole Miss, the SEC took serious steps to get their programs to the next level.

Going to be fun watching the SEC and Bigs battle it out

Let's see...

#2 portal class
Better HS class
Completely upgraded defense
Retained talent
Brought in OC to keep offense similar
One of the highest NIL budgets in the SEC

How did we not take serious steps?

All I know is that I hope every other team in this conference loses every other game you play. Before last week, I’d have never said that. But I’m saying it now. I hope Louisville wins today.

I hope all of you are crushed and humiliated every weekend this year.

LSU had way better squads over the past two decades and still lost a lot of games. At the end of the day, it's about who is at the helm. Do you have Les Miles forgetting the game clock is running or Saban getting every little ounce out of the kids each play? OM may have decent talent this year, but that doesn't mean much until your coach can prove he can lose less than two games through October.

Your petty petulant Athletic Director chose the short term satisfaction of telling Kiffin to go frick himself and hired his kind of a mess of a DC as his full time replacement as a “we don’t need you anyway” slight rather than going out and finding the next coach to do what Lane did and maximize the potential that the Ole Miss program has.

Your fans accepting Golding as the best you could do is honestly the worst thing for the long term health of the program, just like it was when so many of us bought in when we hired O.

Seriously, he’s never been a HC, never been a serious candidate to be a HC, isn’t known as some visionary DC to begin with, and you think that’s the best your program can bring in? You don’t honestly believe that do you?

Not trying to rub it in, I feel for you guys, but you asked seriously so I’ll answer with my genuine reasons for why I said that.

We’ve been there, and as great as it was, the rational of us knew that 2019 was some crazy lightning in a bottle that was covering up serious inadequacies at the top of our program.

You guys may very well have a 2019 year this year with TC and Lacy. I honestly think you will beat us in two weeks. It’s going to feel great, but as the season goes on and beyond you will look at all the schools around the conference and country with coaches that you just know are better than yours. That is a major failure by your AD, just like it was by Alleva for us.

Enjoy 2026 for sure, man. I know we enjoyed the frick out of 2019 and still cherish it. Should be a fun season for yall

So all the national tv & internet sports media are wrong? But, yea, one game is only one game. With 9 League games, the best will be evident come Dec.

It’s hard to tell after 1 game. Especially given the weak arse competition. It’s legit just too early to say.
