I don't know who's better - but the D in Tuscaloosa this year is the best Alabama D I've ever seen. I've never seen any college D kill the run as effectively as this years Tide. I've never seen a harder hitting college D than this seasons Alabama team.

I don't see any weakness on either teams D - just different coaching philosophies. Chavis is a coordinator - Saban is one of the best college football Head Coaches in history. I'll take Saban in this spot.

Some stats on LSU & Bama
There were a couple of "stats" I missed there. What are the stats on the average ranking of Bama's opponents so far this year? Where do those opponents offenses fall in terms of national rankings?

To state the obvious, LSU is going to have a very hard time walking out of BDS with a win.
As with Bama in Baton Rouge last year. Frankly we'll be happy if the game is just officiated fairly in Tuscaloosa this year.

Finally !! I was beginning to think we'd make it through a thread without an LSU fan mentioning the refs.

If your primary worry is the officiating your confidence is already gone and the game already lost.

Maybe so. You brought the more seasoned talented team into BR last year, and got out coached. This year the talent is evening out. Bama is still much more experienced, and LSU will be stronger next year than we are this year, so if it doesn't happen for Bama this year, it won't happen next year either.

Also consider that unlike Bama, LSU continually pulls their starters once up by a comfortable margin.

vs. Oregon - 16-13 in the 3rd
vs. MSU - 9-6 in the 4th
vs. WV - 27-21 in the 3rd

Honest question: WTF do you Bama fans want? We all know you're good. We acknowledge it.

Christ, some of you come across as the whiney middle sister bitch.

God forbid there is another team in the SEC worthy of being in the same sentence as Alabama.

I'll let you in on a secret . . . . <whisper> just between you and me, I'm not playing in the game </whisper> . . . . it would just be nice to see a fairly officiated game in Tuscaloosa this time. Strange you wouldn't agree.

Our offense is ranked 6th in the nation, WV is 5th. Oregon's is 26th.

Good thing the fans don't play in the game then.
