Pretty sure you actually have to care about beating someone for it to be a "rivalry."
And the truth is, beating a program like a&m's means nothing to me.
You expect to beat them soundly every year, as we have, with a random fluke loss filled with freak occurrences every decade or so, as we saw last year.
No doubt this will trigger alot of aggies but it is what it is. Feel free to downvote to make yourself feel better.

Two teams in desperate need of an actual on the schedule every year rival who play at the end of the year and seem to have very natural disdain for one another yet both REFUSE to call it a rivalry.

I call it a rivalry. We’ve been playing somewhat consistently for quite a while. We share a border. It makes some sense.
However, it’s not like our rivalry with tu or even a few others. It’ll get there eventually.

I’m actually not overly confident about it. This is the best Lsu team since 2011. Anything short of 10-2 for be very alarming.
