LOL

Look, I think OU is vulnerable this year but to rank them anything other than 1 is just for clicks. They are the 4-peat champs and not one game has been played in 25.

This is the year other teams have a chance if your team is seasoned.

But come on, how do you not rank them 1 after winning last 4 titles and having the best coach in country.

On a site full of homers, you might be the biggest homer of all.

The press wants it to happen so bad. This is click bait to get opposing teams fans excited.

Last 4 titles. All with different star pitchers.

And lettuce not forget OU brought in the #1 recruiting class

If any football or basketball or baseball SEC team had won the last 4 titles and had the #1 class - they would be ranked #1 in the next seasons pre season poll. Thats not fandom thats just straight facts.

With the addition of Oklahoma and Texas who were the #1 and #2 teams last season, Softball might be the SEC's best sport.

They're ranking the team this year not the last 4 years. Deal with it.

So the #1 class and 4 peat mean nothing? Right lol. I have some bridges for sell too, any takers. If you wanted to build a resume for the #1 ranking what else would you have to do?

This is just to get clicks no one truly believes it which means it gets lots of clicks and talk. Exactly as intended.

Do you understand OU’s last 2 series wins to take the title were against FL and TX. They beat them head to head. And brought in the best 25 class. And have the best coach.

Its all for show, the rankings. It actually helps OU as will make them work harder.

I am had a very strong group of returnees mixed with some good portal and recruiting pick ups. We’re still below the top dogs, but the gap has been closed. I’m excited for softball for the first time in a while.

With Vernables still being employed by OU, does this mean Oklahoma is a softball school now?

Our starting 3rd baseman transferred to A&M after her freshman season and fall ball. Long term bf goes to A&M. Hated to lose her, she is a good one. Ariel Kowalewski. She waited too late to play this season, so she will have to sit out for 2025.

Yup. These are the type of moves that didn't happen before. Sure, this is a weird situation, but grabbing an above-average SEC starter is nice.

Bama made it to the CWS last season. A little too early to kick dirt on them.

This is my favorite women’s sport. Actually it’s pretty much only women’s sport I’ll watch.

Softball for women was genius. The larger, softer ball, the underhanded pitching, the smaller field makes it a great game to watch compared to what it would look like if women were out there trying to play baseball.

It makes the game more exciting... sort of like women's basketball would be if they played with eight foot goals and a slightly smaller court.

I agree, but don't say that to a woman who plays in the NCAA or WNBA. They take offense to this.
