we all know Miles can recruit. I want to see if he can unfrick this situation from last year. If he goes 9-3 or 10-2 with an SEC appearance, he's on the right track. Anything more than 3 losses and I don't think LSU fans will be able to say much to defend him.

Did you see what had to take place for Les to win a NC? Were you watching? Everyone needs some luck, but not like that.
This is a spilled milk argument. Fact is that every team in the country that year had the same chances and Miles still had to win the big game in the 'Dome and beat Tennessee in the SECCG with a back-up QB.
Again, you guys have a great coach and staff, I just don't get the Miles hate...guy is a good coach.

How many times does bama claim a NC when it was awarded before the bowl season, when bama lost on New Years Day?
LSU played SIX teams in the top 16.
THREE in the top ten.
The defending National Champ.
The #1 team (supposedly).
We lost in overtime, twice.
I'd say we earned it more than a few of your claimed titles. You need to seriously think
about branding someone lucky as you look in the mirror.
Based on your interpetation, it appears Bear was lucky more than a couple occasions.
NOT TO KEEP THREADJACKING... but if you use this logic, then I assume you are allowing us our 12 national championships.

i'm unsure how the topic of notre dame is even relevant to our conversation about schools in the SEC's tradition.. but i'm glad we've been likened to Notre Dame's legendary tradition. it only makes sense.

It doesn't really matter to me. Never has.
And that's the whole point.
I'm sure it didn't matter to the Miami Hurricanes or Florida State, either in the 80s or 90s.
And just where is Notre Dame these days?

How many legit 2 loss NC have there been in history? I know Bama claims one in 1941, but it's not legit.

Yeah, it's not LSU's fault that they made it with 2 losses. But Les winning that title the way he did doesn't suddenly make him a great or even good coach. Tubberville went 13-0, couldn't get in. Richt went 13-1 and couldn't get in. So Les going 12-2 one year and getting in makes him some great coach? Hell, Richt is seen as a guy who can't win the big one yet Saban and Meyer's best teams have the same record as his.

Impossible.

It's a Catholic institution.
If you understood, you'd be laughing at yourself.
Notre Dame is a virtual icon for the Right to Life group. catholic priests everywhere are going nuts over it. Your beliefs have nothing to do with the point, it's about ND being hypocrites.
Now, who's the moron, you fricking moron?

I am Catholic. Saying them choosing Obama has anything with them trying to prove their importance in anything is asinine. He is the President of the United States. Maybe that's why they wanted him to speak.
