when the hell did i say that? quit putting words in my mouth..i said that bama is not back to what they once were. Re-read. Getting back on track? Overwhelmingly YES..But they are not there yet, IMO..You can't compare nicky w/ ANYTHING that coach bryant did at this stage of lil nicky's tenure at bama..so just wait, be patient, and the rest of the world will see if bama will really "return" to greatness..i just have a feeling it won't happen to that extent, or anywhere near that extent..

and duh i'd like to say my team won 12 or 8 national championships in the past but they didn't so whatev

i never said bama didn't have history, but maybe the tradition part of it has gone a bit dead over the last 16 or so years? I'm just stating that bama should really win an SEC title before claiming that their greatness has returned..

I think the entire SEC can agree, groan, and grouch that bama has a history of great football that almost none in CFB can match..I never said bama has always been shite, that wouldv'e been a freight train going into the wall of china kind of statement..but this decade has been less than impressive so lots of teams are going to take their shots at bama

maybe they'll return to greatness, maybe they won't(i'm gona predict a median between those two predictions)..

Nothing. Saban believes that speaking to people only interrupts "the process".

i think the only reason people "treat" bama like shite(talking shite about them) is because of their fans..some delusional, but most of them some of the most spirited in college football w/ a great history..

kind of like people love to hate and put down ND?

back on track maybe, but back to dominance NO..don't get me wrong, they will probably win an SEC title in the next 5 years, but with teams like OM, LSU and Arky being as competitive as they are i dont think that bama will be completely "dominant".

Like i said, "back on track" isn't too far-fetched, but "back to prominence", "back to the glory days" is.

you and i both know when a bama fan says "watch out sec, bama's back!!!" what they are inferring to. And i'm just saying theyre not back to that stage yet.

+1
I don't think anyone - including Bama - will acheive the type of ongoing dominance that teams like Bama, Notre Dame, Texas, and Michigan did in the old days.

I do agree with this, cause high school kids these days don't remember Bama's glory days.... We do need to win something significant...to bring that noterity back...

i met saban when he was at lsu. my gf at the time worked in the football office, so i spent a lot of time there myself. we would always joke around, laugh, etc- but when he walked in it turned into a funeral home. plus all of the sudden secretaries would argue about whowas going to lunch- "just to avoid him". My gf always said "we are leaving now- we need to...uh...study.."

he wouldn't even shake my hand when i said "how are you doing sir"

frick him

wow...that sucks

one time when I was leaving a late afternoon class I was walking back through the stadium parking lot but hugging the west side of the stadium. Saban was walking back after practice alone and made eye contact with me and sincerely said "how are you doing" and gave a head nod...it might be because we're the same height...I dont know

13th floor please!

Next I would offer him CONGRATULATIONS on his new position and ask,"When did this building decide to hire elevator operators?"
