I've never heard him say this at any point of his career at Bama. I've heard him show frustration at guys who clearly should not have gone early, like Vinnie Sunseri, but never for a guy who was a clear first round pick.

Bama has followed up its last 2 consolation bowl games with National Championships with rival fans & media making similar prognostications that Alabama was subpar or that the dynasty was over.
