I'm indifferent really. I guess I would have been happy if he'd left for recruiting reasons, but, I am not upset that he stayed. Should make for some good, competitive iron bowls.

Congrats to the Alabama fans on getting to keep your coach. I bet the thought of losing him was a much needed wake-up call for some of the more complacent fans.

Oh please, this is how most LSU fans felt too. Could you imagine if Auburn had a message board as popular as tigerdroppings with a coaching board? All of your dumbasses would come out of the woodwork and be fapping with one hand and shaking your orange and blue shaker in the other.

In fact, most of the LSU posts I read were clearly trolls and people like Genro bit hard enough to live on an LSU message board the entire week. I'd say all in all the level headed LSU fans pulled off a solid troll job

Can you point out the level headed ones? I saw very few of those.

One of the few?

My post history would seem to indicate so.

I can't complain too much with a 6-0 record against him when we're above 9 wins, possibly 2 national championships, and the fact that he doesn't know how to defend the HUNH.

I'm going with Auburn. Saban gonna be ready for them in the Iron Bowl next year.

Lets count how many threads have been started by AU fans about this. Should be able to do on one hand. We don't care.

Saban is 5-3 vs. LSU, and is currently on a 3 game winning streak vs. them.

Like a Texas Governor once said on a battle cruiser "Mission Accomplished!"

And that is on CLM, it's time he put up or shut up. We'll see what happens next.

You seem upset. This post is kind of sad. You start out trying to explain it all only to follow up with some odd attempt at trying to convince yourself it was one, big troll job.

Him staying just makes it that much sweeter when we win another Iron Bowl.

I didn't care.
Auburn fans didn't care.
I'm tired of seeing threads about it.
I'm tired of seeing it on the news.
I'm glad it is over.
Now we can get on with shite that matters.

Can you really see the irony of Saban decorating the Bama lockerroom with Auburn colors and write ups of that game? Comical.

The only reason I wanted to see him leave was to watch the gump meltdown. I really could not care less that he stayed, other than that.

Gus' HUNH O gives saban fits. 2011 was the only bad game Gus had against bama and we had a low level QB with a putrid OL. I am looking forward to watching the chess match between Gus and saban.

The meltdown would have been fun. But here is PM thoughts

How close was Alabama head coach Nick Saban to moving to Texas? Did he ever seriously consider it? There was an awful lot of smoke, but we might never know that answer.

It’s clearly a good thing for Alabama that he decided to stay put. And, in this old man’s opinion, it was good for Auburn, too. No, I don’t believe Gus Malzahn is going to beat Nick Saban every season. Neither do I believe Saban will beat Gus Malzahn every season.

What I believe is that, when your main competition is strong, it makes you better. Saban has made it obvious for the past six seasons that he is very difficult to beat. Malzahn has done the same this season, and I expect he will do it in seasons to come.

That adds up to a rivalry that means a lot to everybody. And that’s a good thing.

In the end, all the speculation did was help Saban, Auburn’s Gus Malzahn, Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin and Baylor’s Art Briles get hefty raises.
