Rumors are that the private Texas foundation NIL that is now paying 50k a year per offensive lineman was just trial run. They just paid 4 Million for back up Ohio State QB, that played two snaps, and already had taken 1 million from buckeyes. That’s 1 million per star, so far. They can easily roll 100 to 200 million per year private NIL payroll. Oregon can with Nike.

I have no illusions that LSU or Ole Miss (my schools) can keep up with Texas money but neither can Bama, Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee, faggies are hardly anyone else. (TAF, and REC don’t have billions) You have to have tons of billionaires to play that game that are willing to pony up 10-25 million annually.

These kids are going to have real awakening when they get to NFL and have to work for a living and take huge paycut.

This is it.

Roster management with a team full of star players with egos, plenty of excess cash and the ability to transfer penalty free creates challenges beyond Roster management.

Getting buy-in, focus, and effort to maximize that talent and translate it into a cohesive, well prepared team will be incredibly challenging

It will be interesting to see who adjusts the best to manage it all

There are like 600 billionaires in the US. There aren’t a “ton” that are 8-figures/year serious about texas football.

Haven’t heard of that but I have heard vague references to more coming. Gotta find some way to keep up with A&M’s under the table, illegal bag game

They still only get 85 scholarships. UT has had a financial advantage for decades but the same people writing NIL checks are the same people that won't allow the coach to run the program his way.

A&M is going to sign like 3 or 4 more five stars and we're talking about what Texas is paying above the table?

A&M can spend just as much as tu but tu’s “not for profit foundations” they set up are 100% pay for play and against even the NIL rules. I think they know it will get shot down eventually but want to see how long they can get away with it. If it buys them one or two good classes…

You lost to Kansas. At home. You lost to 6 other less talented teams, which was more than you won against less talented teams. All of this in a bad conference.

There is no good reason for any recruit with options to go to your school except for money.

None of these kids give a shite about vince young’s pre panhandling days.

Hasn’t the Private foundation NIL already been given approval?

Hell why not just create a religion and double dog dare them to try to stop you. Advocates for Advancement of Texas Football, worship a golden bevo.

Considering the ROI would basically be zero, I just don’t see anyone doing that long term. I might be naive though.

We’ve spent something like $750 million between upgrading Kyle Field and other football facilities in the last 5 years. Texas had to scrap plans to upgrade some of their non-football facilities because they couldn’t come up with the money.

Keeping telling yourself that. It was carefully set up and approved by all the necessary parties, that's why we have no problem broadcasting it.

Conversely, nobody seems to know of any sizable A&M NIL deals....yet 5-stars from across the country are dying to get to College Station. They will probably make an example out of y'all because nobody gives a shite about you nationally.
