Fun fact. Being ranked #1 in week 4 means. Nothing.
In fact there’s only been 1 team ranked #1 in week 4 who ended up as national champ in the last 7 seasons and it was Georgia in 2022.

Probably for the same reason Ole Piss hasn't been ranked #1 during that time. We did not have a #1 team. You do realize that you don't have to be in the SEC to be ranked #1. Right?
