Abso-freakin'-lutely. We hung around long enough to try to win the game with them playing. Without all those players it may have led to another Gator victory.

Very wise choice for Mark.

You probably need to lurk a bit more until you figure this place out. What you quoted was originally posted by a fellow bulldog fan.

When were the tests taken? Results come back fairly quickly.

My daughter is a Varsity athlete at a D1 school. She had to take a full physical and a drug test before boarding her first away game. All test results came back within a few hours.

Aside from all this... I don't blame Richt for postponing the suspensions. I also don't buy the whole "Christian" either.

I'm guessing the rumors started when word leaked the initial samples popped positive before the Gator game. Before any disciplinary action/counseling can take place, a second sample has to be tested and verified. This probably is when the news of the suspension after the Gator game broke.
But don't let due process/procedure get in the way of the, "See, Richt is a hypocrite!" narrative.

The initial results can be had in a few hours....the normal process on a positive is to have a "MRO " (medical review officer ..aka doctor) to then contact the donor To se if there is a medical /legit reason to have the banned substance in your system.

....can we safety say that somebody on the UGa staff had Mr Crowell turn his cell phone off until after the Florida game.....and therefore the process wouldn't be completed until the desired outcome was reached.

Pretty sure there are forms you fill out prior to turning in your "sample" that cover all these bases.

That's possible. Also, more likely when the lab was notified of the result they had to test a second sample at a more stringent threshold for a positive result. Entirely possible they slow-played it. But I'm betting with Richt's past history of suspensions that if he had the 2nd sample results in hand, he would've pulled the trigger.

Drug testing has been happening. Top players getting busted is the trend.

How on earth could you construe my post as bitter? I said it was a smart move.

Do you disagree with the premise that UG probably would have lost without those players? It's really OK if you disagree with me. You'll be less right than me but that's fine too.
