Why did Kiffin hire him?

There’s no way that’s all they could get.

Anyone that has watched our defense knows it’s WAY better than it was last year. He gave up a shite ton of points to LSU and UGA. Not exactly something I’d hold against him considering the lack of depth and talent he has right now

Why do Bama fans want us to hate him so bad?

Talent doesn’t matter. He had all talent it world at Bama.

He can’t coach against good teams.

Are you saying Ole Miss has the same talent on defense as Alabama?

My point is he had the talent at Bama and still got 40+ hung on him multiple times.

Also Auburn and Missouri held UGA to less points.

Are you saying Auburn and Missouri have more talent than Ole Miss?

If he doesn’t have the talent at Ole Miss now, he never will.

Ole Miss is at its peak. They need a good DC or they won’t win shite ever.

He had Bama's D last year ranked #9

Bama's D this year is #23, that is a drop off without Golding

I think the perception for Bama fans is that the D is better but it really isn't.

And the reason for that is because you started 2022 thinking you were a shoe in for the Natty and you ended up being anything but

This year your expectations were lowered and now you are playing from the bottom up

Yes, if you watch the games or look at the rosters, Missouri and Auburn both have more talent on defense (especially the line & linebackers) than Ole Miss. I didn't think that was debatable.

Let's really take a look at this statement. You believe that a coach's very first year is when they will have the most talent? So, when Saban went 7-6 his first season at Alabama, he had all of the talent he needed but he just shite the bed?

Golding has been doing fantastic in recruiting for us and is bringing in a very impressive haul on the defensive side in this coming class.

Lol Bama’s defense is much better this season.

The statistics aren’t telling the whole story.

Our numbers will skyrocket against Chattanooga and Auburn anyways.

I think b/c Saban recommended him to Kiffin. Coaching especially on the Power 5 level is more so about who you know rather than what you know.

Here is a fact for you. Saban made a counter offer to keep Pete.

This is a huge misconception. I don’t care about total defense. With offenses today you are gonna give up yards. It’s defensive efficiency that is the key stat. Bama was ranked like 5 nationally in defensive efficiency in the first half of games last season and was ranked like 95th in the second half. That’s not making adjustments, not getting key stops, not getting 3 and outs at crucial times. Look at the 1st half of the ole miss UGA game this year and look at the 2nd half. That’s Pete not adjusting. Look at Bamas defense in the 2nd half of games this year. It is smothering. Even the eyeball test. If you can’t tell that defense is getting crucial stops and turnovers at critical points, particularly the 2nd half, then you haven’t watched much Bama football. I’d take this defense 10 times over anything Golding had.

He was doing Saban a solid. He supports Bama and knew that Golding was one of the key factors holding us back and Golding has benefitted Ole Miss as crazy as that sounds.

Recruiting. Golding is a solid recruiter and getting dudes up front is more important right now for Ole Miss than X's and O's. We'll see if it actually works out, though.

Golding isn't the reason Alabama won a national championship that year... Sark was.

Golding is the reason we didn't make the playoffs last year.

Sark carried the entire staff to our last natty. If Pete Golding was worth a shite he would've been snatched up for a head coach job long ago. Golding is a scrub.

Of course he wasn’t. How convenient
