Stupid thread with stupid responses.

No, turning down a million bucks for the conference and an extra month of practice is stupid.

Odom could have had a month to acclimate. Plus, that extra month benefits all your returning team.

EDIT: Feral beat me to this point.

Well the point is your football team is still stupid, how else could you explain giving up a 4th and 27?

Turning down a bowl game was so stupid.

Not only do they forfeit bowl revenue, swag for their players and and an extra game for their seniors, but they're turning down valuable practice time for redshirts and underclass men.

I could actually understand this if they'd hired an outsider as Pinkel's replacement, but they hired an existing coach from his staff.

Mizzou is one of the worst teams in the country. They need to focus on rebuilding for next year and not playing a meaningless bowl game that won't make them any money.

What part of, "they get an extra month of practice" did you not understand?

Plus they get publicity with a bowl game. You know....that little recruiting thing.

We don't forfeit the bowl revenue. We will still get the exact same share evey other team in the SEC gets.

I'm glad we turned it down.

1. It gets this shite show of a season over sooner.

2. It gives Odom more time to construct his staff and for our coaches to recruit.

Probably because the Missouri fans are fricking full of pathetic homerism. They have no excuse to not go.

Mizzou doesn't have time to practice for a shite bowl, our recruiting this year has been abysmal and Odom has to go get some kids that can play offense.

The Solid Verbal
The Solid Verbal – ?@SolidVerbal

Christian McCaffrey had more all purpose yards than the total offenses of both Mizzou and BC.

Best to just pack it in and put this nightmare season behind them. A few extra practices aren't going to help them that much.

Typically teams lose money on lower tier bowls so it makes financial sense not going.

If Mizzou is unwilling to contribute to the pot of money then they should receive zero revenue sharing until they change their mind

They should lose out on their entire football cut this year

There is no Check Your White Privilege #SafeSpace Bowl or they would've been all over it.
