Idk if guys like him are racist. I think he's so passionate about how black people are labeled that he goes to an extreme to point out white people who fall into the same category as the black people he defends.
MH is probably trash. I don't think Wilbon cares if MH is trash or not. His problem is he doesn't understand that most white people think MH is trash too.
He needs to realize when people call some black athlete a thug it's probably because they have those characteristics. Not always true but many times it is. He looks bad because he can't except that and tries to even everything out by pointing out some white people have the same characteristics. I don't think he hates white people or thinks poorly of us as a whole. He just overcompensates when trying to defend black people.

I'm not sure about this. I don't give a shite if MH acts like he does and I don't give a damn if a black guy does it either. Some people care about both. Both of those ways of thinking are completely fine.
It's the people who give MH a pass but not athletes of color who piss off people like MW. In turn, MW is offended and goes too far with his point and he sounds racist. He probably isn't racist, he's just too passionate about the subject and sounds stupid and uninformed.

Interesting thing is they didn't even use Ray or Mississippi state's name during the whole thing. I know Hendo isn't an angel but how the hell is it not completely inappropriate for a college coach to cuss at an opponent's player during a game?
Total bs by Wilbon, IMO
... He's right... Henderson is a colossal, chest thumping douche. There are plenty of players, of pretty much every race, who are good at basketball and don't act like tools. He shouldn't be lionized for his antics.

Marshall Henderson is my favorite player in the NCAA right now. He just makes people so angry. It's fun watching how much he pisses people off.

Two things
A. Don't disagree that Henderson acts like a douche, just don't think what Ray did was appropriate either way
B. They shouldn't be lionized, problem is Wilbon probably wouldn't say shite if Henderson was black

And he shouldn't have to say anything if MH was black. Why does the way someone acts always need to be brought up? If a guy is a douche it doesn't matter what color his skin is. If a guy is a complete nerd it still doesn't matter what color his skin is. There are different types if people all over the place, who cares. Wilbons problem and many others' problem is they can't accept that.

Pretty asinine statement when it's being reported that black athletes get into trouble and you called them thugs those are not characteristics in most cases their accusations. If you're not intimately familiar with the athlete or the case meaning you involved in some capacity how can you say that being a thug carry some characteristic trait for the individual involved.

A. Watching Henderson play at home I've said "frick You" multiple times. So I don't think saying it in person is that out of the realm of possibility. A douche is going to continue to be a douche, and the reaction they garner is going to continue to be negative. Cursing isn't the end of the world. If it was a just universe he would have the tool kicked out of him long before being cursed at in public.
B. I've heard Wilbon demonize black athletes for being idiots, tools or braggadocios assholes on multiple occasions. Henderson isn't being singled out because he's white. He's being singled out because he acts like the strutting embodiment of everything that is wrong with modern athletes. Being great at basketball, or any sport, is no reason to act like a jackass.
