I don't understand why they are worried about the Alabama/Tenn rivalry at all. What rule states that a rivalry has to have national impact on college football? If Tenn wants to keep playing. And Alabama wants to keep playing. Why does it bother LSU fans so much?

Lol, now he’s regurgitating texag7 talking points...

Because both Texas A&M and Tennessee are relevant... lmao!

lol what does this have to do with what he said? or the post in general?

On the other hand Tenn has lost 12 in a row to Bama. The last 3 haven't been within 30 points of Bama.

So why is LSU called L8U and Tenn not called 12nnessee? Because nobody cares about Tennessee.

Exactly. Of all the things the LSU fans cry and moan about, TSIO is the one I just find the most bizarre. A game between two teams that have hated each other for a century just triggers the frick out of them.

Alabama has two rivals...Auburn and Tennessee and that, for some odd reason, fricks with LSU fans on this board. All I can think of is that the weirdos on this board crave Alabama's attention. 'LOOK AT ME BAMA' Don't look at them!

Is this where I should remind LSU posters that their all-time record against Sewanee is 3-6?

...and that Alabama was 2-7-1 at one point vs Sewanee.

Pre WWI (vs. Good Sewanee)
LSU: 0-5
Alabama vs Sewanee: 3-9-1

Post WWI (vs. Bad Sewanee)
LSU: 2-1
Alabama: 14-1-2 (Way to lay it on, Bama)

Because Alabama gets to count a rent-a-win towards their SEC record. All crocodile tears aside, that's the only reason anyone cares about this game.

Finished tied for second multiple times and as recently as last year. How has Tennessee faired in the East?

Tennessee/Alabama is definitely not what it used to be. That being said, most people complaining are LSU fans but they haven't beaten them in eight years. Maybe they should concentrate on their own streak first before they worry about Tennessee/Alabama.

The Vols are a historical afterthought now. The new Vandy. LSU is a rising star soon to be number 2 in the conference

Fun related fact. Bama currently has a combined 31 game win streak against Vols, Mississippi State and LSU.

Looking forward to moving that to 34 by season end.

Maybe. I don't think MSU will have the depth to pull it off, though.
