LSU has lost 8 in a row to Bama and got shut out 29-0 last season. they have not finished higher than 3rd in the west since 2012.

Funny this is the argument I continue to hear.

Did you know Vanderbilt-Sewannee used to be the premier Rivalry in the SEC?

Guess who cares?

Tennessee hasn't won a SEC championship since 1998.

Last time we were in Starkville, we got our asses handed to us. But, that has no real affect on this game outside of hype and media talking points.

Bama/Tenn is a bigger rivalry, that isn’t even a debate

I think what they are really trying to say here is that Alabama is getting close to their 5 times allotted on CBS.

Not sure how playing Miss St didn't give the whole thing away for you?

No way.

TSIO is the greatest rivalry in the game and should be preserved.

All records and stats are thrown out. Players and coaches who have sucked even against teams like say Georgia St play with everything they have and leave it all on the field.

Nothing is as big as this game. Not even the national championship or the iron bowl.

Well if it was a priority for CBS? Why is there 5 other Alabama games CBS would rather show than this one?

Is this where I should remind LSU posters that their all-time record against Sewanee is 3-6?

Ask them? I believe the theme of this thread that compelled you is why LSU/Miss St is a bigger rivalry.

The short answer: It isn't, you will simply be fodder for the canon this weekend.

I hope this clears it up for.

Tennessee/Alabama is definitely not what it used to be. That being said, most people complaining are LSU fans but they haven't beaten them in eight years. Maybe they should concentrate on their own streak first before they worry about Tennessee/Alabama.
