You obviously haven't been around football in the last 10 years.
AL-UGA played each other for the natty.
AL-LSU played each other for the natty.
AL-UGA played each other for the natty.
AL-LSU played each other for the natty.

There is an outstanding chance that this exact scenario could happen. It has happened before in 2017. Alabama lost the Iron Bowl then went to the playoffs. Short memory?

What is clempsons best win this year?
Posted on 10/27/19 at 4:34 pm to ClemsonRules
Because we are not afraid of playing tough opponents AND we really want to win an SEC championship on our to a CFP Natty.
An ACC team wouldn’t understand this though.

I actually wish this was the case, but we all know when LSU wins, excuses will be made to get bama in the playoff

Stupid post is stupid. RA'd because ACC.

Again - why would either LSU or Bama play hard if the loser gets in the CFP? the reward for winning is playing an extra game against a difficult opponent - does that really make sense to you?
I answered your question. now answer mine.
Do you believe a 1 loss Clemson could make it in the playoffs with their schedule?

Have ya gotten it straight yet?

Because it's football, not a fricking spelling bee. Why ask such a stupid question like this?
They still have something to play for. Each team's BEST CHANCE of making the playoff is to win. I mean, how fricking dumb are you?
Go back to the ACC Rant.

I have always believed in only conference champions being eligible for the NC.

When has LSU ever gotten into a championship game without winning their conference or their division? When?
Posted on 10/27/19 at 4:48 pm to ClemsonRules
I think that LSU's odds of getting in with a close loss to Bama are decent, because of the strength of schedule and the fact that the game is in Tuscaloosa.
I think that Bama's odds of getting in with a loss to LSU are lower. I think that they would need more help.

If the winner of the LSU/Bama game remains undefeated and loses in the conference title game, I would believe they’re in the playoff regardless.

So you're saying LSU doesn't deserve to get in to the playoffs if they lose to Bama but win out?
Because that sure as hell sounds like what you're saying.

If true, why bother playing hard in the game since both make the CFB yet the loser gets to sit on the couch and watch the winner have to play an extra game in the SEC championship game?
This pretty much sounds like the mentality I would expect from the fan of a team that gets the benefit of the easy road to CFP by belonging to the shittiest P5 conference in the nation.

Well, both want to win the game because recent history has proven it's harder to win the SEC than the National Championship. Secondly, neither team is afraid of competition. Thirdly, neither team wants to be trolled incessantly for backdooring into the playoffs.

Nope. They shouldn’t get in over a conference champ with the same number of losses. Winning your conference should mean something.
ETA
And the thread was talking about excuses getting made for the loser. I’m saying it will only be made if that loser is Alabama.

Keep your shirt on tater, there is a lot of football to play yet and the possible scenarios could change several times. Everyone already knows Clemson fans are mentally challenged yet they insist on displaying it every day.
