He’s 0-1 vs Auburn

Let's not get carried away now. It's just one game

Can you read? I said, "A wide-open 4 and 5 wide LSU passing offense went 15-0 last season."
Similar, yes. Does not mean they are the same, Dummy.
Auburn spreads it out. bama spreads it out. UF spreads it out. Most SEC schools spread it out.

You did notice that Leach beat an LSU roster that has a boatload more talent, right?
I watched Leach beat a team with a DC that couldn't make an adjustment to save his life.
ETA
LSU fan before the game. "MSU sucks. They haven't beaten LSU in this many years".
LSU fan after the game. "MSU is for real. They just beat us so that proves it".

This is true. But I was very pleased that Leach mentioned in his post game press conference that he noticed it too. Which leads me to believe, he will adjust when the defense adjusts. Time will tell.

Wasn't my quote. I said Leach will put up 30, 40, and 50+ points on SEC defenses all season long.
But don't feel bad. Vegas missed the spread by 25+ points

A blind squirrel finds the occasional acorn. Let's see how State does when they play the big boys in SEC remainder of season.

The problem isn't who Leach is playing or who the DC is on your team. It's how well you can prepare your entire secondary to hold up in defending twice as many plays during a game than they're accustomed to.
LSU has had elite secondary play, and players, for years. But you're asking them to face a glorified 2 minute drill offense all game long with 4 and 5 WR sets while defending twice as many plays as they're used to over the course of a game.
I'm not saying Leach will run through the West and win the division. He won't. But everybody he faces will have to solve the same problem listed above, and it's a very difficult scenario for everybody no matter who you are. There are no magic bullets.

No but it sure helps when you are at least running the correct formations

Not really. I assume you mean "get lined up" instead of "formations" but the quickened pace is designed to impact that as well. Doesn't hurt to get lined up correctly, but that just tips your hand and allows them to check the sidelines and change the play based on your alignment.
It's about staying assignment sound in your coverage responsibilities all game long, and tackling one on one in space without failure. If any of that breaks down, it's off to the races.

Works so well that any LSU fan who tries to use DBU will be laughed at for a decade.

Nah, I mean formations. There is very clearly something that works better against his offense.
Doesn't mean your defense is going to have success but you have to at least put them in the right spots to help your chances greatly.

Sure, that matters as well but if you don't have the right formations and personnel its going to make it much harder on yourself.
