So, just so we are clear on LSU and the playoffs...

If they win out, but lose to Bama. And then Bama beats Georgia in the SEC game. Making it a pretty reasonable decision for LSU to be selected by the committee to be in the playoffs....
Then we get to talk about how they backdoored their way in, didn't win their divison, and shite, right?

Sure, but then Bama has to admit they back-doored into the playoffs last year. Do you really want to open up to that argument? Probably not

-Ohio St.
-Notre Dame
If those other 4 go undefeated/win their conference then I don’t see the SEC getting 2 in this year.
I bet Notre Dame gets that backdoor bid. They’re favored to win the rest of their mediocre schedule and voters would absolutely put an undefeated ND in the playoffs.
I think it’s a realistic ugly truth.
Only good thing that comes out of this is some team getting snubbed and it’s more of a reason to expand the playoff to 8.
