in the last 30 years (1995-today) 5 SEC teams other than Bama (not including Texas and OU) have won a total of 10 national titles. 1/3rd of the national titles in the last 30 years have been won by SEC teams other than Bama.
OSU and Michigan have totaled 5 while in the Big 10.
Nebraska, Texas and OU have totaled 4 while in the Big 12.
FSU and Clemson totaled 4 in the ACC.
USC totaled 2 for the Pac 12.
Miami got 1 for the Big East.
Even without Bama, the SEC won twice the titles with more variety of teams than any other conference.
