I think it was an episode of The Season where they said they were together, but I easily could be misremembering.

Last season Baker gave up 42 to Alabama, 38 to TAM, 33 to USCe, 31 to Baylor, 27 to USC, and 27 to Florida. Four opponents scored more than 30.
This season Baker gave up 49 to TAM, 38 to Houston, 31 to Vandy. Three opponents scored more than 30.
This season LSU ranked 23rd in the country in points allowed per game and 27th in the country in yards allowed per game.
High paid? Yes Baker is. Great? Not based on what he has done so far.
#8 defense when adjusted for opponent efficiency.
#25 the year prior after taking over a unit that was in the #100's.
You don't know ball.

Be honest: That roster and coaching staff was Lane and Lane can do that in Louisiana too.
Yes Lane might've lost that game last night so maybe it's not all Lane.

How bout this mon frere we concentrate on '25
shut out clemson in 2nd half'
shut ou uf in 2nd half
held ole miss to 7 in 2nd half. Fewest points scored in SEC game
held cocks to 3 points last 3 quarters
held bama to 3 2nd half points. fewest points in SEC game
held hogs to 8 points last 3 quarters. 2nd fewest in SEC game
held ou to 2nd fewest points in SEC game
Over half the starters didn't play VS coogs.
That's having to play opposite the worst offense in SEC. If someone tracks this they can confirm. MOST 3 and outs by an SEC offense
LED SEC in pass effiiciency defense, fewest TD passes allowed, Ints, PBUs and passes defended. ONLY SEC team with MORE Ints than TD passes allowed.
Those numbers are better than what Golding put up in '25.

Too bad they don’t adjust points on the scoreboard. Since Baker arrived, LSU is 2-7 in games they allowed the opponent to score 27 or more.
